Getting ready

• Open the Whose app on your iPhone and prepare a compatible case.
• Allow only the iOS access needed for the action you select, such as Photos, Camera, Bluetooth or NFC.
• Where offered, you can continue as a guest. Saving designs and some account features may require sign-in.

Library and photos

Choose an image from the library or open the photo picker. The camera control opens the camera when you grant permission.

Selecting an image opens the preparation canvas. Previously downloaded official images can be read from the local cache when available.

Collage and Polaroid templates

• Open Templates and select Collage or Polaroid.
• Select a template that fits the screen size shown for your device.
• Tap the plus sign in an empty frame to add a photo.
• Adjust the photo’s position and zoom inside its frame. Remove it if you want to choose a different photo.

Design canvas

Prepare the composition using the controls available on the canvas, including cropping, text, graphic elements and image adjustments. Template frames keep the layout designed for the display.

Use the save control when that feature is available. Leaving the canvas alone does not mean a design has been saved.

Transfer

• Start a transfer from the canvas or the app’s transfer control.
• Follow the iOS prompt and position the iPhone as directed for your case.
• Let the transfer and display refresh finish. The result depends on the display model and its available colours.
• If the transfer fails, keep the error message and consult support.

Data and permissions

You can withdraw Photos, Camera, Bluetooth and notification permissions in iOS Settings. Withdrawing permission can disable the related feature, but does not delete your photos from the Photos app.
